Mehmet C. Onbaşlı - Spintronic chip design and verification
|Study location||Turkey, Istanbul|
|Type||Summer Research Program - Undergraduate, full-time|
At least 2 reference(s) must be provided.
In this project, the student is going to learn how logic and memory chips can be designed using spin-based devices. After the study of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation, students are going to use the open-source OOMMF (Object-oriented Micromagnetics Framework) simulation package to model spintronic logic gates such as AND, OR, NOT gates. Finally, the student is going to implement a sorting algorithm (i.e. quicksort) and implement the spintronic circuit that sorts an arbitrary sequence of values efficiently.
