Overview
Koç University BA in Comparative Literature program has a duration of 4 years, is taught in English, and offers a supportive learning environment of small class sizes, excellent professors, and academic and extra-curricular support services for international students (Careers Services, International Office, Counselling, Student Clubs, Office of Learning and Teaching and more).
Course offerings include classes in world literature, critical theory, and interdisciplinary studies where students work intensively with a distinguished faculty of scholars in Turkish, Ottoman, European, Anglo-American, and Postcolonial literary and cultural studies.
At the same time, the major encourages students to take advantage of the rich offerings of courses in other KU departments, Certificate Programs in Classical Studies, Migration Studies or study abroad semesters.
Our major leads to the advanced study of literature at the graduate level and provides a strong basis for advanced degrees and/or careers in publishing, journalism, cultural studies, philosophy, education, international relations, film, and entertainment.
