Koç University BSc in Industrial Engineering program has a duration of 4 years, is taught in English, and offers a supportive learning environment of small class sizes, excellent professors, and academic and extra-curricular support services for international students (Careers Services, International Office, Counselling, Student Clubs, Office of Learning and Teaching and more).

Our Industrial Engineering program offers basic courses, such as engineering economics, stochastic processes, optimization, information systems, modeling and simulation, design, planning, and control of systems. In addition, students can select a variety of courses in a number of topics to match their career goals, such as supply chain management, e-commerce, financial engineering, and facilities planning.

We offer 4 tracks in:

  • Financial Engineering

Additionally, students can benefit from doing double majors, minors, summer internships, and semester exchange periods at top-rated engineering programs in our partner universities in the US, Europe, and Asia for no extra cost.

Koç University Industrial Engineering graduates gain:

  • Breadth in industrial engineering with required area courses, and provides depth in an area of specialization through 3 area electives and 6 free electives courses.
  • An advanced mathematical foundation, including differentiation and integration, multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability, and statistics.
  • The ability to formulate mathematical optimization models for real-life decision problems and understand methods for solving optimization problems and utilize the software for solving such problems.
  • The ability to identify appropriate models and methods for solving decision problems; analyze and evaluate alternative or candidate solutions to decision problems.
  • The ability to formulate analytical models and develop computer simulations to analyze systems under uncertainty.
  • The ability to analyze and reorganize the business and industrial process flows, information flows, and financial flows.
  • An understanding of important concepts and the ability to design and apply analytical models in manufacturing and service operations, including financial services.
