Overview
Koç University BSc in Chemistry program has a duration of 4 years, is taught in English, and offers a supportive learning environment of small class sizes, excellent professors, and academic and extra-curricular support services for international students (Careers Services, International Office, Counselling, Student Clubs, Office of Learning and Teaching and more).
The Chemistry program consists of eight required (with laboratory sessions) and two elective courses in Chemistry, as well as two semesters of an independent study project under the supervision of a faculty member, in addition to the Core Program courses and other electives.
The area electives develop our students’ research skills. Opportunities in research include:
- quantum chemistry
- polymer syntheses and characterization
- solid-state chemistry
- computational biology and,
- surface physical chemistry
Additionally, students can benefit from doing double majors, minors, summer internships, and semester exchange periods at top-rated programs in our partner universities in the US, Europe and Asia for no extra cost.
